Mark Meadows Testifies in Georgia Election Interference Case

Former White House Chief of Staff Faces Scrutiny

Atlanta Federal Courtroom Examines Trump Ally's Role

In a federal courtroom in Atlanta, Mark Meadows, former President Donald Trump's final White House chief of staff, testified on Monday regarding his involvement in questioning the 2020 Georgia presidential election results.

Meadows' testimony is part of the ongoing Fulton County investigation into allegations of election interference by Trump and his allies. The investigation, which includes a 41-count indictment against Trump and 18 others, is expected to face its first test this week.

During his testimony, Meadows admitted to helping question the election results and attempting to pressure Georgia officials to overturn them. However, he denied accusations that he was involved in any illegal or fraudulent activities.

A federal appeals court is scheduled to consider a request by Meadows to dismiss the charges against him on Friday. The court's decision will determine whether the case against Meadows will proceed.
